FlowView Center, the church management service operated by MJohn Solutions.
A church records what it needs to run itself: names and contact details, families, birthdays, membership, giving and expenses, and whether a person agreed to receive text messages.
That information belongs to the church. We hold it to run the service, act on the church's instructions, and never sell it or use it for advertising. Each church's records sit in a database of its own.
A church that uses texting sends announcements and birthday greetings from its own phone number, to people it has recorded as having agreed to receive them. We send them on the church's behalf, through a messaging carrier.
Mobile phone numbers and consent to receive text messages are never sold or rented, and are never shared with third parties or affiliates for their own purposes or for marketing. They are used only to send that church's own messages, and are passed only to the messaging carrier that delivers them.
Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them, or HELP for help. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Every church also publishes a page of its own, at its address followed by /texts, describing what it sends and how people join and stop.
Every address here is served over HTTPS. Passwords are stored only in scrambled form and cannot be read back, by us or by anyone else. Each church is backed up nightly, so records can be restored after a mistake or a failure.
We do not sell or rent personal information. A few providers help us run the service: a hosting company for the server, a messaging carrier for texts, and a payment company where a church pays by card. Each receives only what it needs for its part, and card details are entered on the payment company's own pages, never here.
We may disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is needed to protect the service or the people using it.
A church's records are kept for as long as the church uses the service. A church can download everything at any time, and can ask us to delete it: the database is removed and the nightly backups age out within thirty days.
A person who wants their own details corrected or removed should ask their church, which holds the record and can change it. If the church cannot be reached, write to us at support@flowviewcenter.com and we will pass it on.
A church may record a child's name and birthday as part of its family records, entered by the church rather than by the child. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children.
If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page, and churches are told of anything that materially affects them.
